What Captiva does to a window
Captiva is narrow enough that every home gets Gulf salt and Sound salt at the same time. Glass that faces west along the Gold Coast takes direct spray on windy days and bakes in the afternoon sun, which is how salt film turns into permanent etching. Homes on Roosevelt Channel and the bayside canals get it a little slower, but they get it.
The other issue is sand and rebuilding. The island has no seawall on the Gulf side, so fine sand blows onto the lower glass and into the tracks after every front, and with so many homes still being rebuilt or raised after the storms, the neighbors' windows pick up construction dust for months at a time. Rental cottages add the usual problem that nobody who stays there cleans a window.
Most Captiva homes are on an every-two-months plan with the inside glass done once a year. We work the island on a set day, coordinate with property managers between guests, and can clean while owners are away for the summer.

After that, a quarterly maintenance plan runs $60, $77, or $100 a month for those same home sizes. Oceanfront and riverfront estates get a custom quote.
How often should windows be cleaned in Captiva?
Every two months is the right rhythm for nearly every Captiva home, and monthly exterior wipes for Gulf-facing sliders in the windy months. Rental cottages are usually set up between guests on a standing day. Most people have the inside glass done once a year.
Do you work in the gated communities?
Yes. We work in South Seas, Sunset Captiva and the guarded streets along Captiva Drive, and we are used to resort and property-manager access rules. Just add us to your gate list or tell us the procedure when you book.
Can you remove hard water spots from sprinklers?
In most cases, yes. Mineral spots from sprinkler overspray need a dedicated treatment rather than regular cleaning. Tell us about them on the quote form and we will look at them on the first visit.
